Aer Lingus A321LR 20 May (2)

Aer Lingus is increasing its Dublin-Cleveland service, adding an additional flight between Dublin Airport (DUB) and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) starting April 17, 2024.

The airline will expand its operations from four to five roundtrips per week on the route, with service further ramping up during the peak summer season. From May 6 to October 25, 2024, flights will increase to six per week, using two class 184 seat Airbus A321LR featuring 16 business and 168 economy seats.

Aer Lingus Chief Strategy and Planning Officer Reid Moody said “There has been huge demand for travel since we opened our direct connection from Cleveland to Dublin last year and we are delighted to be able to respond by offering more services from April 2025. As well as a direct connection to Ireland, the people of Cleveland and wider state of Ohio can access easy onward connections to popular destinations in the UK and Europe through our Dublin gateway hub. Enabling more transatlantic travel is a key priority for Aer Lingus, and we look forward to welcoming Ohioans on board our new services next year.”

Team NEO CEO Bill Koehler said “Team NEO is excited by the success of the Aer Lingus flight connecting Cleveland to Dublin, serving as both a direct link to Ireland and a gateway to Europe. Companies considering their first investment in Northeast Ohio consistently cite this international gateway as a key factor. This partnership enhances global connectivity, creating new opportunities for business growth and positioning Northeast Ohio as a competitive global player.”

The in-demand route was launched in May 2023 as part of the JobsOhio Air Service restoration program, which provides Ohio’s commercial airports with the opportunity to collaborate through public and private partnerships to restore and grow air service opportunities for economic development. In its first 18 months, Aer Lingus’ service has provided an estimated $28 million in economic impact to the Cleveland market.
